Q Bake Off In Aid Of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland

October brought with it a wealth of Autumnal baking inspiration. What better way to celebrate the season than to hold our very own Q Bake Off? The Q Cafe Company has a long and successful relationship with Cystic Fibrosis Ireland so it was only fitting that the proceeds of our bake off go to charity.

Many of our Q Cafe Company Restaurants partook in the Q Bake Off with many a hidden talent for baking being discovered. An outstanding number of customers entered their cakes and bakes in the Q Bake Off! We tasted a wide range of baking skills from innovative Peanut Butter Protein Bites and Guinness Chocolate Cakes to traditional bakes such as pavlovas, cookies, caramel squares, coffee cakes and many more! Many, many family recipes were tasted and loved by all. Our winners enjoyed a fantastic bunch of prizes! Some were even convinced to share their recipes to fellow customers! We would like to thank Bell Lane Coffee and Batchelors Coffee for their support as coffee sales were donated to Cystic Fibrosis during our coffee morning. In addition we would like to thank our fantastic team who promoted the event and convinced our wonderful customers to bring in their great bakes. Big thanks must also go to our chefs for baking their own signature bakes to be sold in aid of Cystic Fibrosis.

Finally, congratulations to everyone who entered their incredible cakes and bakes. Without you, our event would never have succeeded. We are delighted to say that the total raised was a fantastic €1,900, with much more raised for the preferred charities of some of our clients! Soon our team will had a  cheque to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland for the proceeds of the Q Bake Off and money raised through the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon.
