Five Awards in Irish Cafe Quality Food Awards
The Q Cafe Company were last night awarded an outstanding five awards in the Irish Cafe Quality Food Awards! The evening began with anticipation of what was to come and it certainly did not disappoint.
Our expansive team let out cheers of pure joy and pride as each of our thoroughly deserving award winners walked up to accept the coveted award. A night of celebration and congratulations ensued with the awards taking pride of place on the company table at the celebration dinner.
In addition to the five awards received, we are supremely proud to note and celebrate the honour of Highly Commended for European Foundation in the Contract Catering Cafe of the Year category. In addition our entries for the Lunch Solutions (CJ’s Summer Granola), Breakfast Solutions (Honey Chilli Shrimp Popcorn) and Cakes (Jill’s Red Velvet Cup Cakes) categories received the Highly Commended honour, of which we are supremely proud.
We would like to take this opportunity to commend and thank our stellar team in particular Executive Head Chef Dave Gorman and Chef Jill Walsh for their key role in mentoring our younger younger chefs in the build up to these awards. Development and nurturing of youth is a core tenant of The Q Cafe Company and we are delighted to celebrate with our younger winners!

Chef Denise Murray Citrus Avocado Dark Chocolate Cake.
Denise Murray is a well loved Chef here in The Q Cafe Company. Beginning a new career as a lecturer, this was the most fitting send of for Denise. Her upcoming commencement of a Masters Degree in Nutrition inspired the creation of this masterpiece fitting in so well with our health and wellness programme QWellness.
Chef Orla Quinlan’s Igloo Antics Christmas Cake.
Orla has always loved art and when studying Culinary Arts she discovered her incredible talent for baking and ultimately cake decoration. A luscious rich chocolate biscuit cake decorated with such care and attention is certainly a Christmas centrepiece.
Chef Aldas Zarnauskas’ Lithuanian Honey Cake.
One of our most passionate young chefs in The Q Cafe Company, Aldas baked from the heart with memories of growing up in Lithuania. A very memorable cake and very much loved by our customers!

Chef Brandon is one of our bright young talents in The Q Cafe Company. A pleasure to work with, he is keen to learn and develop his already great skill. Brandon was key in the development, production and finish of this luscious desert!
