Our Story

Our CEO and founder, Breda Quigley always had a passion for great food. Growing up in a small village in County Carlow, at the Foothills of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland, Breda always dreamed of having her own restaurant. Breda honed her craft in the industry and established The Q Café Company in 1999. Running it initially from her spare bedroom, Breda remained steadfast on her founding values of team empowerment, passion for great food, and strong direct local supplier relationships. Over time, The Q Café Company has grown selectively and carefully curating long term client relationships. We focus on local sustainable produce and wellbeing in our service delivery. With a speciality in healthcare catering, and workplace catering, we create bespoke food service solutions for clients throughout the country. As you will see, although food is our business, our people are our passion. As a family business our team members are part of our QFamily.

Our team members receive the invested support of our board of management. Managing Director, Laura Olson, leads an exceptional team with specialist supports from our Craft Development Chef, Karen Dalton, our Business Support Managers – Martin Byrne, Keith McCann, Mary Reid, Jackie Shanahan, and our Financial Controller Caroline O’Raw. We guide our teams through the intricate details of personalised and flexible food and catering services to clients daily.
