As an externally audited and verified programme, Origin Green is Ireland’s pioneering food and drink sustainability programme. Operating on a national scale it unites the full supply chain. We are proud to achieve this coveted industry quality standard in environmental management.
Sustainability as a Core Value
Environmental sustainability has been a key element of the company core values since establishing in 1999. In addition to this, and under the banner of sustainability, market fresh food has been a core value since 1999 too.
Here we work with local suppliers and producers to supply customers with the tastiest most in season food possible.
In order to achieve Origin Green status we developed an Origin Green Foodservice Sustainability Strategy. The associated Sustainability plan outlined our ambition, initiatives and specific targets in key areas which The Q Cafe Company has committed to over the next number of years.
Progress against these commitments will be communicated regularly to Bord Bia auditors and will be subject to ongoing verification by external parties appointed by Bord Bia.
