During COVID-19, we’ve been working to ensure all employee protocols and customer safety have been at the centre of our operations. With our healthcare business in full operation and the resulting processes that have been implemented we’re ready when you are to get started in other sectors.
We’re not going to lie, COVID-19 has, like all around us, significantly affected our business with closures across the board. However, our experience in the healthcare sector during this time shows that have the experience of doing it. In line as we promised to protect and serve (see here), our teams have innovated and led us bravely in a time of great uncertainty.

We would like to irrevocably thank our diligent, hard working and resilient teams who provided respite to frontline customers with creative food services every day. To name but a few, in Cork we loved your passionate ticktocks and all kinds of initiatives to support cocooning care home residents. In Dublin, we loved your international nurses day homemade cakes, your daily pictures of colourful and creative lunch service, and your impassioned service to protect those who are vulnerable.
You are our family, are we yours. You have shown the best values in human kind, despite despite the fear and anxiety that perpetuated our society. To our team members who were so unfortunately temporarily laid off due to COVID-19, we thank you for your patience during this time. As part of our Q Family, we cannot wait to see your beaming faces again as the economy reopens.
Indeed, to our suppliers we thank you for your support and maintained services. For working with us in implementing new quality control protocols to keep everyone safe. We are proud of our steadfast relationships with both local and nationwide Irish suppliers, which are now solidified as the country moves to reopen.
Mental Wellbeing Support for Our Teams
To that end in March we partnered with Spectrum.Life to provide all of our employees, both working on the frontline and temporarily laid off, with an Employee Assistance Programme. This provides our team members with in the moment counselling support and advice in a broad range of issues. Furthermore, with Spectrum.Life we supplied them with an online platform to promote their daily wellbeing and mental health.
Today marks phase one of the government’s plan to reopen the country. We are confident that our experience in safely supplying essential services to our clients and customers throughout the COVID-19 will provide us with an excellent platform to reopen safely with you. Indeed, we are confident this experience will show new clients how our reactive and personalised Irish service can weather any storm. With a great team we can accomplish anything together! So…
